magna carta is in the british museum with the rosetta stone of course. sir's mother, my granny williams was a smith/pepper. her mother was penny pepper. the peppers came from england, where they were originally culpeppers. my granny maintained that they changed from culpeppers to peppers for brevity's sake. more likely some murder or something lurid..... granny claims we are related to thomas culpepper, the gent that anne boleyn was accused of dallying with....both were beheaded in the Tower of London.
granny's mother, penny pepper had mother with maiden name starling. granny says we used to own Sterling Castle up in scotland. neat castle to see, and you could lord it over your buddies on the trip, claiming to own the joint. uncle andy and i ate haggis in a pub nearby. with quite a bit of stout. i would recommend the stout, but not the haggis. (you remember, sheep stomach containing other gastrointestinal sheep parts probably cured in an outhouse or somewhere. traditional scottish dish to poison outsiders.)
cider in a pub is good. scotch eggs are ok. ploughman's lunch is ok. foreign restuarants are best. english and scot and irish food is pretty bad if you don't have the fish and chips. (I guess you have not figured that out yet, ha ha...)
tintagel castle, where king arthur was born, is a lovely ruin, but way out in cornwall. salisbury cathedral is very nice.pretty country. nottingham is industrial, but sherwood forest nearby is beautiful. the scotch border with hadrian's wall is very neat to see.

what the hell is that comment? and i think you are wrong i think she was 18 or 19 making her his youngest wife, like i said originally and got this whole conversation started
